The Idea
It’s simple: let’s share a little kindness with others in the travel industry, which has been hit unbelievably hard. January is normally a low time for tour directors, guides, and tour operators. If you’d like to participate, all you need to do is mail a small gift to another person, whose name and address you’ll receive. In return, you’ll also receive a random gift from someone. Result? We’re all a little happier, and we’ve made a new connection.
What should I send?
The idea is something surprising and lovely, not expensive. It can be anything!
- Something homemade, by you or someone you know.
- A gift card for a virtual tour you’ve created.
- Something local, that allows you to share a little bit about where you’re from!
- Finally, you can either remain anonymous, or share a little bit about who you are, where you’re from, what you do, and make a new connection!
How it works
- Submit your name, email and current mailing address on the form.
- On Friday, January 1 you’ll receive the address of another person.
- Find a little gift and mail it by January 15th!
Then over the month, hundreds of travel industry professionals will receive a random spark of joy.
